Tatsuya Wakeyama
   Associate Professor

He holds a Doctor of Engineering from Kyushu University on renewable energy potential evaluation by using GIS in 2012. He joined Renewable Energy Institute in 2012, and committed to the energy scenario analysis, research projects on domestic/foreign electricity grid managements policy and feasibility study on Asian super interconnectors. In 2018, he became the associate professor at Kyushu University Platform of Inter/Transdisciplinary Energy Research and have studied on electricity grid model, market model and social acceptance of renewable energy. He has been a member of the Energy Course with the School of Environment and Society in Tokyo Institute of Technology since 2022. He specializes in energy scenario analysis with the case of high integration of renewables by using GIS, capacity expansion model, economic dispatch model, unit commitment model, market model and grid model. He also engaged in research on social acceptance of renewable energy by application of mathematical sociology.
